He focused on matters of security, judiciary, immigration and political asylum. Janssen owned a horeca enterprise in Scheveningen. Because of an accident he got disabled and he had to abandon his business.
In order to rehabilitate he studied law at the Open University in the Netherlands and obtained his Master of Laws with Latin honors.
Membership
As a member of the Socialist Party (Socialistische Partij) he was a temporary Member of Parliament from January 11 till April 14, 2011, replacing Sadet Karabulut, who was on maternity leave. Since April 27, 2011 he has been a member of the States Deputed of the province of South Holland.
