Education
He took to religion at an early age by entering the Konjōin Temple at Edo as a novice priest. Later he continued his studies at the Hasedera Temple in Yamato Province (Nara Prefecture) and Kōyasan Temple.
Career
He became High Priest of the Ozoin Temple at Urawa, Saitama Prefecture. He was later transferred to the Konjoin Temple at Edo.
Religion
A devout Buddhist of the Shingon sect.
Personality
His preachings and meetings always attracted large crowds.
