She is the main presenter for the regional television news service for London, British Broadcasting Corporation London. Lateef presents the British Broadcasting Corporation London News 6:30pm bulletin from Monday to Thursday and some editions of the 10:30pm programme. She also presents the Friday edition of the National 8pm Summary on British Broadcasting Corporation One.
She joined British Broadcasting Corporation London in 2004 as a reporter and occasional newsreader.
Following the departure of Emily Maitlis in March 2006 to present on British Broadcasting Corporation News 24, Riz has been promoted to present the flagship 6.30pm British Broadcasting Corporation London News programme on British Broadcasting Corporation One. She was also the main anchor for the British Broadcasting Corporation London News Podcast, presented by British Broadcasting Corporation as a trial.
Previously, she reported for British Broadcasting Corporation Breakfast and presented regional news for the British Broadcasting Corporation in the North East & Cumbria. Lateef was also a guest presenter on British Broadcasting Corporation One"s Holiday programme in 2003 and 2004.
She also presented relief shifts on British Broadcasting Corporation News 24 in 2006.
She is one of the main relief presenters for the British Broadcasting Corporation Weekend News on British Broadcasting Corporation One and the British Broadcasting Corporation News Channel.

She"s been named as one of London"s "1,000 most Influential People" by the Evening Standard.
