He completed his bachelor"s degree in Malayalam from the Union Christian College, Aluva in 2006.
Although mainly a radio jockey, he is also active in other fields. He is known for his association with the television shows on One television, Flowers, Mazhavil Manorama and Surya television and for his performance in the film Ithihasa (2014). He is hosting a 2-hour celebrity chat show called Red Carpet through Red FM 93.5 on every Saturday at 3.00 pm all over Kerala.
He was raised in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam.
He joined Kerala Press academy in Kakkanad for a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. He started his career as editor trainee at Malayalam newspapaer Veekshanam.
He came to radio as a hobby and ended up as a radio host.Mathukuty is married to Tinsy. Mathukkutty had a show named Redcarpet that focused on the glamour industry.
Mathukkutty made guest appearances on other shows and appeared in Malayalam films.

He gave his voice for actor Bharath in the movie Koothara which received applauds from the critics and that gave him more projects like Madhuranaranga (2015) and 1000 oru note paranja kadha (2015). Later on he debuted as the dialogue writer for the movie "You Too Brutus", the film and the catchy dialogues in the movie both were widely accepted by the crowd. He also appeared in short films such as Kuliscene,Kozhi Biriyani and bedroom.

The movie revolves around seven characters and how one incident connects them. lieutenant will have six climaxes, each one for each character.
