Career
A self-employed artist, Buitenman belongs to BBK (Dutch Art Union) and GKF (Dutch Union of Creative Photographers). In 1978 he won the Golden Diaphragm Award as grand prize winner of the 2nd International Triennial Exhibition of Photography organized by the Museum for Art and History in Fribourg, Switzerland.
