Robbie Tilley Branscum

Background

Robbie was born on June 17, 1937 in Big Flat, Arkansas, United States. She was the daughter of Donnie Tilley and Blanche.

Education

Branscum dropped out from school after the seventh grade.

Career

Robbie's life took a major turn after the newsletter of her church, the Southern Baptist, printed an article she had written. Subsequently she decided to become an author. In 1971 she wrote her first book - "Me and Jim Luke". Moreover, Branscum published 20 books in 20 years time. On May 24, 1997 Robbie died of a heart attack.

In 1949, at the age of fifteen, she married Dwane Branscum. In 1949 they divorced. Robbie had a daughter - Deborah Branscum. Also, she was married to Leslie Carrico. In 1974 the couple divorced.
