Studied violin under William Ludwig, organ under Alfred Redhead, harmony under Claude Jacquinot, London. Orchestration under Oscar Coon, New York. Self-taught in piano.

Chorister St. Augustine’s Church, London, 1876-1878. Played violin under baton of Weist Hill. Went to New York, 1884, and became American citizen.

Composer of many songs, sacred and secular. Instrumental pieces; Work and Play (book of children’s songs), etc. Address: Lambs Club, New New York.
