Career
On 27 April 2006, at the Oratory Tennis Club in Woodcote, South Oxfordshire, he matched the great Pierre Etchebaster"s feat of seven consecutive defenses of the real tennis singles World Championship. The defence was against Tim Chisholm in the latter"s third consecutive challenge. In May 2010 he retained his title for a record ninth time, defeating Steve Virgona 7 sets to 2.
In April 2012 he retained his title for the 10th consecutive time, again defeating Steve Virgona 7 sets to 3 (6/5 3/6 6/1 6/3 6/4 6/3 3/6 5/6 6/2 6/3).
