Robert Favole was born on September 27, 1950, in New York; the son of Patrick A. Favole, a hairstylist, and Bernadine (Martin) Favole, a nurse.
Robert Favole received a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1972. In 1977 Robert enrolled in the University of Arizona College of Law, where he got a Juris Doctor degree. While a law student, he assisted a professor in his analysis of bioethics and the law, conducted tutorials in constitutional law, and served as a student member of the Curriculum Committee.
Robert has pursued his career in three different fields - education, law, and writing. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buffalo, he taught developmentally delayed children at the Arizona Training Program at Tucson. There, and at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Arizona, Favole received extensive training in theories of learning, child development, and the principles of reading. He worked also at the Miles Exploratory Learning Center, an open-classroom, public, magnet elementary school.
In 1980 Favole began a clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals, serving as a law clerk to the Honorable James R. Browning, then Chief Judge of the Ninth Circuit. In 1982 he entered private practice, including the representation of individuals in civil rights cases.
In 2001 Robert Favole gave up the law to write fiction full-time. His first work Through the Wormhole appeared the same year. It is a novel for young adults, through which Favole expresses his conviction that the youth view history as a dead letter. But it can be enlivened by the use of the story. To foster a sense of connection to the past, Robert employed the vehicle of time travel. His next work, Monday Redux, appeared two years later.
In 2006 Favole resumed his legal practice becoming the President of Elegant Roots, the position he held until 2012. Since 2011 he has been serving as an arbitrator at Robert J. Favole.
