Education
Frank graduated from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico and received three degrees from UNM. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Surgery in 1974 and an Master of Arts He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology in 1979.
Career
He was named to that position on June 1, 2012. In 1977, both in Psychology. He is the first UNM President to hold three degrees from the University.
Frank served as the Provost and Senior Vice President at Kent State University in Ohio, and was selected on January 4, 2012 as the next and 21st President of the University of New Mexico.
His selection was by unanimous vote of the university"s Board of Regents. He was officially inaugurated as the President on November 18, 2012.
Before his tenure at Kent State University, he was the Dean of the College of Public Health and Health Professions in the University of Florida.
