He also appeared in the 2007 film American Gangster as Detective McCann and in 2012 appeared in "Whistle Blower" the 10th episode of the 2nd season of the Columbia Broadcasting System show Blue Bloods as New York City Police Department Captain Browne. Funaro was born on in Brooklyn, New New York Funaro"s Italian ancestors were from Naples.
Funaro is currently acting in film and television and has worked extensively in the New York City Office Broadway scene.
