Early years and success
As a teenager Robert Geiss did not want to go to school because he thought that "if you want to make money, you can not sit at school everyday". When he was coming back home to Cologne, Geiss decided to design similar clothing for German fitness studios and founded Uncle Sam in 1986. Selling all of the products very quickly over the winter season, Geiss started buying shirts and pants for 10 Doctor of Medicine in Turkey, selling them for 49 Doctor of Medicine afterwards in Germany.
When his business was at its height Geiss employed 120 people.
Shortly after, Kaufhof AG wanted to buy the firm for around 120 million Doctor of Medicine which Geiss declined because of legal reasons. Return to work and family
After doing parties for 10 years and living the Jetset-life Geiss dreamed of, he became bored of doing nothing and built three houses in Grimaud, that he leases out to people that go there for holiday.
In 2004 he bought Uncle Sam back and is again Chief Executive Officer of the firm. Being friends with bankers in Monaco, he also invested in shares, which earned him money.
