Career
Attached to 1st Gordon Highlanders, Tirah Campaign, 1897 - 98 (despatches, medal and 2 clasps). Went to South Africa with 1st Queensland Contingent, and was transferred to 1st Gordon Highlanders, 1900. Given command of Gordon Highlanders Mounted Infantry Company.
In command till wounded on 30 January 1901 (despatches, South African medal with 6 clasps).
Companion of the Distinguished Service Order 1900. Late Commonwealth Federal Forces. Honourable Captain in army.
