Career
He is currently part of Manchester collective The Six, who he co-founded with Rick Boardman in 2014. The Six were featured on the Gorgon City track "Take lieutenant All." Harvey also co-wrote the 2014 single Real Love by Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne, which peaked at 2 in the United Kingdom singles chart. Known for his work as singer with The Music, he co-wrote 2 top 10 albums and 4 top 20 singles between 2001-2011.
The band toured internationally and were known for their live performances.
More recently Harvey wrote and toured with The Streets as well as experimenting with Mike Skinner on The Doctorate.O.T.
2001-2011: The Music
Their first single "Take the Long Road and Walk lieutenant" peaked at 14 in the United Kingdom singles chart which saw them perform live on Top Of The Pops. The Music (2002) - Self-titled debut album was released on Hut Records and Capitol Records and peaked at number 4 in the United Kingdom album chart.
lieutenant was Produced by Jim Abbiss. The album was known for its circular artwork by Rob and Nick Carter.
Singles Take the Long Road and Walk lieutenant and The Truth Is Number Words went top 20 in the United Kingdom singles chart.
The band toured with, New Order, The Charlatans and Oasis as well as selling out Blackpool Empress Ballroom and London"s Brixton Academy. Welcome To The North (2004) - The band"s second studio album peaked at 8 in the United Kingdom album chart and had two top 20 singles with Freedom Fighters and Breakin". The album was produced by Brendan O"Brien.
They supported Coldplay, Incubus and U2 as well sold out tours of their own in the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia.
Strength In Numbers (2008) - was The Music"s final album and was released in 2008 on Polydor and peaked at 19 in United Kingdom album chart. Strength In Numbers was produced by Flood and Paul Hartnol.
2011: The Streets
Harvey wrote on 2 songs and performed on 3 from Computers and Blues. The album peaked at 8 in the United Kingdom album chart.
Mike Skinner asked Harvey to join him on tour as the guitarist/singer which saw The Streets headline shows and festivals across the United Kingdom and Europe.
2012-2014: The Doctorate.O.T
The Doctorate.O.T saw Harvey and Mike Skinner experimenting with sound and video and saw the band travel to Japan for shows. 2014: The Six
