Secretary and treasurer Wheeling Bridge Company. Director Wheeling Steel Corporation Formerly member City Council, and also postmaster of Wheeling, 1911-1914, West Virginia House of Delegates and West Virginia State Senate.
Was vice-president for West Virginia, National Rivers and Harbors Congress. Treasurer Linsly Institute (trustee).
