Huang attended Kyushu University in Japan, where he received a Bachelor of Surgery degree in Electrical Engineering, before relocating to the University of Rochester. He received Master of Surgery degrees in Electrical Engineering and Statistics from that university, with a third Master of Surgery in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
After serving as the Headquarters Sales Manager for Advanced Micro Devices, Huang founded SYNNEX Corporation in 1980. Foreign almost thirty years, until December 2008, he served as the company"s President and Company-Chief Executive Officer. Thereafter, he was elected to Chairman of the Board.
After leaving the board, he continued to work with Synnex as leader of Bachelor of Science Pacific Corporation, a joint venture.
Huang was a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors until June 2010.
