Robert "Bob" Jones was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league football player of the 1940s, playing representative level rugby union for Wales XV, and Glamorgan County Reconstruction Finance Corporation, and at club level for Aberavon Reconstruction Finance Corporation, and playing representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Swinton, Saint Helens, and Hunslet, as a prop, or second-row, id est (that is) number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
Achievements
Jones represented Wales XV (RU) while at Aberavon Reconstruction Finance Corporation in the "Victory International" non-Test match(es) between December 1945 and April 1946, and won 3 caps for Wales (RL) in 1947–1949 while at Swinton and Saint Helens.
