Career
He represented Missisquoi in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada from 1841 to 1844. He was born in William Henry, probably the son of John Jones and Marie-Magdelaine Heney. Jones lived in Stanbridge Township, in Saint-Jean and in Christieville.
He was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat in the Lower Canada assembly in 1830.
Jones did not run for reelection to the assembly in 1844. He died in Montreal and was buried in Mount Royal Cemetery.
