Mining engineer, 1906-1923, headquarters first Los Angeles, later New York. President North Butte Mining Company, 1918-1923. Vice-president and general manager Pacific Clay Products, 1923-1935.

In private practice since 1935. President General Alumni Association Washington and Jefferson College, 1917-1918. Director and member Executive Committee American Mining Congress, 1920-1923, board of Governors, western division, 1939-1941.

President California Clay Products Institute, 1928-1930. Vice president Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, 1935. Member California State Mining Board, 1929-1930 and 1937-1941.
