Studied at St. Andrew’s College Grahamstown, South Africa. Edinburgh University Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery, Edinburgh, 1890. Doctor of Medicine, 1907.
■ Entered British East Africa Company’s service, 1891. Accompanied Sir Gerald Portal’s expedition to Uganda, 1893.
Career
First Principal Medical Officer of the Uganda Protectorate, 1898. Retired 1906. Decorated for services in Uganda Mutiny. Colonial Medical Service, retired.
