Robert studied at Bedford School.

Career

Mr. Rose arrived in China in May 1903. He was Engaged in engineering practice with Smedley, Denham, and Rose in Shanghai till 1909. In 1909 he left China for Canada. From 1909 to 1914 he was engaged in new developments of the country including Timber Surveying and Railway construction. Subsequently, he made a world tour in connection with the new British Columbia University. From 1914 to 1919 he served in the army.
