Robert Title studied at the Instituto Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, in 1958-1959 and at the Germain School of Photography in New York City in 1960-1961. He also attended Ansel Adams' Yosemite Workshop in 1966.
A freelance photographer, Robert Title taught at Vancouver Community College in Canada in 1975-1976 and at Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology (now the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning), Oakville, Ontario, Canada, from 1970 to 1975.
Robert Title worked in his own Toronto photography studio from 1960 to 1975. Working with Cibachrome, Title's work has primarily been black-and-white figurative and portraiture.
Robert Title served as president of the North Vancouver Business Association in 1978-1979.
