Education

Robert Werling earned a Bachelor of Public Administration in 1970 from Brooks Institute, Santa Barbara, California, having previously studied commercial art at the College of San Mateo, California (1965-1966).

Career

Robert Werling has been a photography instructor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, since 1976. In that year he was also guest curator of an exhibit of contemporary Japanese photography at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and in 1977 he conducted photo workshops for the museum. Under a 1975 NEA grant, he produced a portfolio of prints from the negatives of W. Edwin Gledhill.
