His first cr was as a producer in 1928, and he made several unsuccessful attempts at directing in the early 1930s. He was involved as an associate producer on most of his brother"s films through the 1950s, such as and Wyler was married to actress Cathy O"Donnell from 1948 until her death in 1970.
