One daughter Served with his regiment, 5th Bombay Light Infantry, against the Taipings near Shanghai, and was present at the storming and capture of the entrenched camp at WangKaza, of the town of Tseerpoo, at Nazain, at the storming of Kahding and Tsingpoo, and at 1022 the storming and recapture of Kahding, all in 1862 (medal). Accompanied his regiment to Abyssinia, 1867. Served Afghan War, 1879-1880, and commanded the 5t«h Bombay Light Infantry in the march to Kandahar with the force under Major-Generel Pliayre (medal).
