Kimbrough is a lifelong resident of Sarasota, has been in private practice in Sarasota since 1960, and a sole practitioner since 1964. He has been active in many community and civic organizations including boards and presidencies or chairmanships of Florida West Coast Symphony, Ringling School of Art and Design, Sarasota Welfare Home, Inc., and Kiwanis Club of Sarasota.
