(Living in Southern California in the late sixties, I coul...)
Living in Southern California in the late sixties, I couldn't help taking special note of a young man named Patrick Capper Haden. When I first heard of him, he was playing high school football with J.K. McKay, the son of Coach John McKay of the University of Southern California. Because of the USC connection, Haden and young McKay drew a good deal of press attention, and justified all the ink with decidedly winning ways. (from the Prologue by Robert Blair Kaiser)
