Titus, Robert Cyrus was born on October 24, 1839 in Eden, Erie County, New York, United States. Son of James B. and Esther (Yeomans) Titus.
Academic education, Oberlin, O., 1859-1861.
Admitted to bar, 1865, and practiced at Buffalo, New York District attorney Erie County, 1878-1880. Member of New York Senate, 1882-1885. Elected judge Superior Court of Buffalo, 1885, for 14 years, ending December 31, 1899.
Transferred to Supreme Court, 1896, term expired 1899. Candidate, 1896, for judge Court of Appeals. Candidate in Democratic State Convention for government New York, 1898.
