14 November 1861J; son of Benjamin Green and Rebecca Ann Lipsett. M. 1889, Celia Elizabeth McDonnell. One son one daughter Educated: Peterboro, Ontario Came to Winnipeg, 1882, and followed the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway to Revelstoke.

Engaged in general merchandise business in the Kootenays till 1904.

Opened a Real Estate and Insurance business in Victoria, under the firm name of Green and Burdick, Brothers, 1908. First Mayor of Kaslo, British Columbia, 1893.

Re-elected, 1896 and 1897. Representative of the Kaslo and Slocan Riding in the Local Legislature, 1898-1906.

A Minister of the Crown, 1903-1906 (Minister of Mines, Provincial Secretary, Minister of Lands and Works, resigned 1906).

Membership

He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1898 to 1907, representing the ridings of first Slocan then Kaslo.
