HOUSTON, Robert Griffith was born on October 13, 1867 in Milton, Delaware, United States. Son of David H. (Doctor of Medicine) and Comfort Tunneli (Hitchens) Houston.

Education

Public Schools and under tutelage. Read law in office of Judge Houston, 1885-1888.

Career

Admitted to Delaware bar, 1888, and began practice at Georgetown. Owner and editor Sussex Republican since 1893. Recommended by members of bar for associate judge Supreme Court of Delaware, 1910, 22.

Assistant attorney general, Delaware, 1921-1924. Attorney and chief, bureau of law, alien property custodian, Washington, 1923-1925. Member 69th to 72d Congresses (1925-1933).
