PALGRAVE, Robert Harry Ingrlis was born on June 11, 1827 in Westminster. 3rd son of late Sir Francis Palgrave, Knight of Hanover, and Elizabeth, daughter of Dawson Turner, Fellow of the Royal Society.

Education

The Charterhouse. Taylor Prize Essay of the Statistical Society, 187І. Was in 1875 one of three representatives of the English Issuing Country Bankers to give evidence on their behalf before the Select Committee of the House of Commons on Banks of Issue.

Career

Editor of Economist newspaper, 1877-1883. Received Honourable Freedom of Great Yarmouth, 1910.; Justice of the Peace Suffolk.

Knight of the Order of Wasa of Sweden: Yarmouth director of Barclay and Company, bankers, Limited.

Achievements
