(Allergy is a common problem which seems to be afflicting ...)
Allergy is a common problem which seems to be afflicting more and more people. Allergy to wine causes headaches and allergy to shellfish may cause skinrashes. Cosmetics are described as hypo-allergenic and duvets and pillows as non-allergenic. Allergy to medicines may make the cure worse than the illness. One in seven primary school children carry inhalers in their pockets to alleviate wheezing, and for many people hot summer days are clouded by sneezing and a blocked or runny nose. The aim of this book is to provides readers with an understanding of what can cause allergy, what diseases result from it, which symptoms can be alleviated and which cured. It examines various types of allergies and also explores treatment of hay fever, asthma and lung diseases, eczema and rashes.
