(Robert Taylor, the author of All We Have is Now and Whose...)
Robert Taylor, the author of All We Have is Now and Whose Eye is on Which Sparrow?, brings you a complex, moving novel of love and life. A Few Hints and Clews traces the pasts of two men-from their parents' lives through the historic events of the 20th century—reliving the experience of being gay in America during those years. The novel travels through the confusion of the 1940s and 50s to the Stonewall Revolution through the horror of AIDS and beyond, ultimately emerging as a warm, loving, and hopeful celebration of the courage it takes to throw off fear and uncertainty and live proudly as an openly gay couple.

(After his long-time lover dies of AIDS, prominent actor I...)
After his long-time lover dies of AIDS, prominent actor Ian McBride lives a solitary life centred around his theatre company in Washington DC, unwilling to risk the pain of loss that another relationship could bring. Then, during a production of "The Tempest", Ian falls in love with Jimmy Davidson and slowly begins to tear down the wall he has built around his emotions and plans a new life with the much younger actor. But hope turns to rage, sadness and loss again for Ian when Jimmy is brutally murdered during a visit to his family's home in Texas. "All We Have Is Now" is the story of a man's journey through his grief and anger, back to a place where compassion brings hope, not hate and love can't be silenced.
