Career

Ordained ministry Member of Parliament Church, 1897. Pastor successively Whitakers, Henderson, Grace Church, Greensboro and Mebane until 1911. Editor Burlington (North Carolina) News, 1912.

Again pastor Grace Church, 1913-1918. President North Carolina Annual Conference, 1919-1924. 1st president High Point (North Carolina) College, since 1924.

Organized and conducted campaign for building college. Trustee Children’s Home, North Carolina Board of Education.
