Lynch, Robert Newton was born on December 18, 1875 in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Isaac Newton and Maria (Caufield) Lynch.

Education

Under-graduated from State Normal School, Chico, California, 1894. Th.G., Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, 1899, Th.B., 1900. Regent’s Park College, London, 1900-1903, A.T.S., 1902.

Career

Ordained Baptist ministry, 1903. Pastor Petaluma, California, 1903-1912. Vice-president and manager California Development Board, 1910-1916, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, since 1912.

Commissioner of California to International Exposition, Turin, Italy, 1911, Ghent, 1913. Studied immigration problems in Europe.
