Returned to Duncan, British Columbia, 1902.
With Canadian Bank of Commerce, Victoria, British Columbia, 1905, transferred to Kamloops, British Columbia, later as teller to Whitenorse, Yukon Ty., then to Dawson, 1907. Resigned 1909; spent 8 years in the Yukon and traveled extensively in the sub-artic.
War correspondent for Toronto (Canada) Star in the Balkans.
Served as ambulance driver, American Red Cross.
