He is the chief executive-designate (Chief Executive Officer) of Wood Group, a British multinational oil and gas services company headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland. In October 2015, it was announced that Watson, who has workd for Wood Group since 2010, would take over as Chief Executive Officer in January 2016, succeeding Bob Keiller who has decided to retire. Watson is married with three children.
