(This working manual provides a systematic approach to the...)
This working manual provides a systematic approach to the evaulation and study of malformations and abnormal development in the embryo, fetus, stillbirth, and deceased newborn. Also provides information on multiple congenital anomaly syndromes that are not necessarily lethal. The first section of the book discusses the causes and prevalence of stillbirths and fetuses. The second section describes how to approach the evaluation of the fetus or stillborn infant with multiple congenital anomalies. The assessment of specific anomalies, loosely classified by anatomical region or organ system is discussed in the third section, which also provides an extensive list of syndromes. The fourth section describes clinical features and references of multiple congenital anomaly syndromes. The book also features tables and graphs of normal values.

(This book is an off-shoot of the computerized London Dysm...)
This book is an off-shoot of the computerized London Dysmorphology Database which is used by geneticists and dysmorphologists. The book arises from the increasing number of multiple congenital anomaly syndromes, and the need for information about their features and further relevant literature. The aim of this book is to provide a source of information for those who need a diagnosis for the purposes of genetic counselling, an assessment of the prognosis and an answer to the basic question asked by nearly all parents "what is wrong with my child?". One child in 50 is born with a easily detectable major malformation. Many of these will have single malformations, but in the vicinity of eight in 1000 will have multiple abnormalities. This group will include 50% with chromasomal disorders recognisable by doing a karyotype and the rest will need to be diagnosed by other means. It the diagnosis of this latter group that this book is aimed.

(This is the first supplement to "Multiple Congenital Anom...)
This is the first supplement to "Multiple Congenital Anomalies". The main work, published in 1990, listed all of the then known dysmorphic syndromes and provided a framework whereby a diagnosis could be achieved by looking up any combination of features. Nearly 2,000 such syndromes were described in the book. Almost 350 new syndromes have been described since the main work was published and this first supplement now brings the subject completely up-to-date. Together, they form a unique combination of books which should be an essential reference for any clinician who sees patients with malformation syndromes. This book should be of interest to clinical geneticists, paediatricians, dysmorphologists, haematologists.
