Education
Lim studied physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2003 he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy from the National University of Singapore for research carried out at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering. This was followed by postdoctoral work at the Mechanical Engineering Mueller Institute for Structural Biology at the Biozentrum until 2008.
