Two years later he took the same position at London School of Economics and Political Science, where he served until 1999. In 2000, Roderick became a lecturer in economics at Queen Mary University of London and had held the position for three years.
Also he served as a part-time lecturer in economics at New York University from 2002 to 2006. In 2005, McCrorie became a reader in economics at the University of Leicester. Since 2007 he has been a professor of economics and finance at the University of St. Andrews.
Roderick is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.
