Rodney Carroll began his career as a part-time truck loader and became a division manager at United Parcel Service, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the founder and chief executive officer and president at Welfare to Work Partnership, Washington, D.C. since 2000.
Mr. Carroll released his first book “No Free Lunch: One Man's Journey from Welfare to the American Dream” in 2002. It is illustrating the realities of life on welfare and the challenges faced by a forgotten group of Americans who want to reclaim their independence through work.
