Rodney played for a variety of youth club teams in South Florida and played for one of the top private school high school programs in the area, America Heritage were he helped them on their quest to the State Finals. After a successful senior year he Attended in 2003 Eckerd College where he played various positions across the attacking third of field from left mid to forward. Professional
In 2006, Rodney joined the Cocoa Expos of the Professional Development League.
