Rodrigo Garcia y Robertson received his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California in Los Angeles majoring in history.
Rodrigo Garcia y Robertson taught at the University of California in Los Angeles and at Villanova University before becoming a full-time writer. He began publishing fantasy with an Alternate-Worlds tale The Flying Mountain for Amazing Stories in 1987. His first novel was The Spiral Dance of 1991. Most of his works similarly explore the effects of threats upon recognizable historical venues. In addition to his eight novels, he has had numerous short stories published in fantasy and science fiction anthologies.
