Rokube Kiyomizu graduated from Kyoto Painting School (1923). He studied under his father Rokube V, (present Rokuwa) on manufacturing of china-ware.
Since the eighth Imperial Exhibition of 1927, Rokube Kiyomizu displayed his products at each Imperial Exhibition. He uses radiant color with bold designs. Rokube was a judge of Bunten (The Exhibition sponsored by Ministry of Education). In 1945, assumed the present name succeeding his father.
