Rudolf Aleida "Roland" van Vliet is a Dutch politician and former tax advisor.
He focused on matters of taxes, financial regulation, energy and innovation. On March 20, 2014, van Vliet announced that he left the Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang (Party for Reform and Freedom) due to Geert Wilders" statement that there should be fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands. Van Vliet will stay in the parliament as an independent.
Van Vliet studied tax law at Maastricht University.
As a member of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor Vrijheid en Vooruitgang (Party for Reform and Freedom)), for which party he was an Member of Parliament from June 17, 2010 to March 20, 2014. From March to July 2011, he was also a member of the States-Provincial of Limburg.
