Career
He spent his first professional years skating for the Soviet Wings (Krilia Sovetov) in the Russian High League (Russia 2). The young forward was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft with the 42nd overall pick in the second round. The young forward then moved to the United States and skated for the Minnesota Wild"s AHL farm club the Houston aeronautics
