He is Senior Lecturer in English at Nottingham Trent University and co-edits the literary and arts magazine New Walk. He is also a critic and reviewer, and writes regularly for the Times Literary Supplement and other publications. His poetry has been shortlisted for a Seamus Heaney Prize and has been made a Public Broadcasting Service Recommendation.
