Somerson, Rosanne was born on June 21, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.


Bachelor of Fine Arts, Rhode Island School Design, 1976.


Member staff Fine Woodworking magazine, 1976-1981. Furniture designer, builder, since 1978. Member faculty graduate furniture design program Rhode Island School Design, Providence, since 1985, professor, head program, since 1992, professor, head furniture design department, since 1995.

Instructor Boston Architectural Center, 1981. Teaching fellow continuing education sculpture and design in wood Harvard University, 1977-1979. Lecturer in field.
