Rosi Urbine took a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1977.
From 1976 to 1979 Rosi Urbine worked as an audiovisual specialist for Kitchenaides, Inc., Harahan, Louisiana, and before that was a photographer/research assistant for St. Charles Parish School Board, Luling, Louisiana (1975-1976). Rosi Urbine served as a staff photographer for the Festival of Women in the Arts in New Orleans in 1978, and from 1976 to 1978 taught photography for the New Orleans Recreation Department. In 1980 she has been experimenting with laser art prints.
