Man received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glasgow. He was given a diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Technical College.
Man began his career as an assistant controller of Jabatan Telekom Malaysia (nowadays Telekom Malaysia Berhard) in 1976 and held it for forty two years. In 1985, he took a position of a group manager of technical services at Fleet Group, where he was part of the team responsible for overseeing the rollout and operations of the nation’s first privately operated terrestrial television station namely Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad.
Rosli, from 1988 to 1996, was instrumental in setting up the first privately owned telecommunications company in Malaysia "Celcom", to cater for the country’s growing cellular market. Since 1996 he has been a president of the same company. Also in 1996, Man became a managing director of Prismanet Sdn Bhd, where he worked until 1998.
In 2000, Rosli held a position of the chief operating officer at Natrindo Telpon Sellular (NTS) and served for two years. In addition, he worked as a deputy chief executive officer of Lippo Telecom to oversee NTS National Cellular Operation. In 2000, he took a position of an independent non-executive director of TM Net Sdn Bhd. Also Man held the same position at Telekom Malaysia Berhad in 2000-2008. Since December 3, 2018 he has been a non independent and non executive chairman of the group at Telekom Malaysia Berhad.
